Since 1991 till today
Account of Reverend Stegen, founder of Bonlé Dairy
God has blessed us. We started with one or two milking cows, which increased. And then we wondered what to do with the excess milk...
...so we began a dairy project to produce yoghurt, cream, etc. so that nothing goes to waste. Reverend Stegen

First Dairy Cattle
Two to three cows are acquired to provide milk for the growing community.
1991
Bottling and Selling Milk - KSB Dairy
Increased dairy herd results in surplus milk enabling milk to be bottled and dairy products to be sold under the name of KSB Dairy.

Yoghurt
With the surplus milk, yoghurt is produced.

Maas
Soon after yoghurt is started, Amasi Igula, the traditional buttermilk is made with precision to the satisfaction of South African Maas lovers.
2002
New Dairy Farm
Due to an increase in the dairy herd to about 100 cows, a new farm is purchased in the Mooi River area. Emseni Farming Shandon (-29.197323012010962, 30.103023696018443).

Bonlé - good milk
KSB Dairy name changes to Bonlé, derived from French, meaning 'good milk'.

Drinking yoghurt - On the Go
Our first drinking yoghurt - good on the go - produced in September 2020.

New to the Yoghurt Range
New to the range - Our double cream yoghurt is truly doubly creamy and doubly delicious.
And we have added three new flavours to our range.

We have begun an exciting project – building a cow shed at our Dairy Farm, Shandon, Mooi River!
